Gingham, plaid, checks, glen plaids...we just can't seem to settle on one of these! It's probably the coolest trend of the moment and everybody is trying to sport it. From masculine suits to coats, shoes and even accessories, it's the among the top trends for this AW.
How I chose to wear it now? As an updated 90's power suit - although they're all separates - with a deconstructed shirt, gingham kitten heels, a gorgeous pearl-embellished handbag and of course 90's sunglasses as sported by Kurt Cobain back in the days. This mix can be worn anywhere from office to a night out, depending on the accessorising and by thinking about those details that truly matter.
I adore oversized shirts and my latest obsession is to wear them unbuttoned at the top buttons - just make it off shoulder, wear it half tucked, relaxed and be feminine. The pearl-embellished bucket bag is to die for...it features a long gold chain too, in case you want to wear it as a cross-body or on your shoulder. I prefer it as a hand bag as I tend to stuff it and the chain becomes painful to wear. The conclusion? Say yes to kitten heels and another big yes to mix and matching plaids.
