Carla Vadan: spring outfit

Spring Dreams

chartreuse March 28, 2020

Don't worry, these photos were taken two weeks ago, before the lockdown.

SHEIN definitely has the most gorgeous clothes, and I will probably soon start wearing them at home if this madness will continue.

This time I went for two gorgeous sets, one in light lime yellow and one in chartreuse...unfortunately, due to the very weird light on the day of the shooting the colours don't look as gorgeous as in real life but you get the idea...then I got the most gorgeous beaded bags that I've ever laid my eyes and hands on, a beautiful faux leather jacket and a stunning puffy shoulder dress in light blue, which again, due to its shiny fabric was very difficult to photograph indoors and get its exact shade. But I can, once again, assure it's even better than it looks.

I hope my looks inspire you, not for now, but at least for a brighter future spent outdoors. Fingers crossed to that!

My 6 Favourites This March

london March 03, 2020

March is finally here and the days start to get longer and warmer. I can't express my joy as I am looking forward to lighter outfits, a bigger variety of fabrics and textures...and more sunshine.

Some of my favourites for the spring are from SHEIN, one of my favourite shopping platforms: they have a huge variety of great pieces, all with extremely affordable prices and always nice quality.

This time I went for a Chanel-inspired tweed cardigan with gorgeous pearly buttons, which works so good with everything that it makes me want to wear it every day. Below, I paired it with a black jersey turtleneck and a pair of wide jeans in the prettiest shade of pink ever - I like to call it a "mature pink", since it's colder and looks more sophisticated than lighter and warmer pinks, plus my new Western boots from Topshop and a beige leather bag from Mango.

For the same jeans, when the weather will get warmer - I got a pretty asymmetrical top in a delicious shade of creamy, buttery white. This too, works great with many things - a pair of blue jeans and leather loafers, a midi satin skirt and sandals...all you need is some sun to accessorise it with.

Then there is the navy dress - yes, it's one piece - pleated in the lower part with a blazer-like upper side. It comes in many other colours but I went for navy as I don't own many navy items but I know they look nice against my skin tone and hair colour. The bag in the second outfit is also SHEIN, and it's super pretty and quite spacious for a small bag.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention the wide belt to go with all this spring & summer's blazers.
