How To: Summer Dresses Part II

July 04, 2017

In the last post, I started presenting my favourite summer dresses and my way of styling them. If yesterday was about a short, sleeveless dress...today is all about a midi (or long, depends on your height) dress, with a cold shoulder detail, a rich and colourful floral print and a flowy appearance. This one is from VIPme.

How do I wear it? Because of its print, I chose all black accessories and a bold lip in the same shade of red as some details of the print. I'm wearing a black scarf as a belt - it just feels right and looks good, a crocheted backpack from The Sak and a pair of embroidered velvet mules. I must admit, this dress is more comfortable than the one presented yesterday - it's longer, super flowy and allows you to move freely. And it looks even cooler when walking, moving or dancing. So that's a plus, it would even look great to be worn for a festival. With different shoes, of course.

I love its light fabric and colourful print...it's like you can wear happiness on your sleeve, haha. The ruffled, off-shoulder details are something I've never tried before but must admit it looks good, and I love the fact you can button it all the way up. I must always close the last button to a shirt or dress, otherwise I feel awkward.

  1. The dress and lipstick match perfectly. I don't know how you managed to make the scarf look good as a belt, I'm so impressed. Also, the slippers look fit for royalty.

    1. Haha, thank you! It's a long and thin scarf, that's why I managed to use it as a belt.
