How I Wear My Jeans In Winter

all black December 16, 2019

Lately I've been in love with neutral tones, with their sophisticated simplicity and good vibes.

I can't call myself a minimalist, because I am not, in any way, but at times I do love wearing neutrals.

This is certainly the case, after I found some amazing clothes on ROMWE which I instantly fell in love with the moment I first saw them.

On my first look I have a full ROMWE look, except the sneakers and bag: the cutest teddy jacket made from the softest, cosiest fabric, perfect white jeans (sorry but I sat in the car for more than an hour before we shot these, hence their look), a lovely and very warm cropped sweater in a lovely shade of charcoal grey, and also the accessories: funky dragon earrings and a punk-inspired layered necklace. I felt so good wearing this outfit that I will definitely come up with a very similar version in order to recreate something similar soon.

In the second look, I went for an all-black with accents: the jeans, in a fun tiger print plus my new ASOS patent baby bag which I am in love with - my phone, card holder and keys all fit in there. Oh, and tissues too.

I hope you like the way I styled my jeans for winter, how do you style yours?

Earthly Stars

all black January 16, 2019

You probably know by now I rarely wear an all-black outfit, but when I do...I love for it to have something extra.

That "something extra" would be a statement item, such as a stand-out bag, really cool shoes, or, like in this case, a gorgeous jacket covered in sequins.

A disco ball with a life of its own. My own private galaxy of stars. You can tell by my words how much I love it.

Yup, I do and to be honest I got this jacket thinking about all this summer's festivals and concerts, those crazy laser lights, late late late nights, kisses under the stars and dances under the moonlight. But that doesn't stop me from wearing it during the day while grocery shopping, lol. I really don't care, I wear my clothes whenever I want, it doesn't have to be a special occasion or a certain day. And you should do the same.

The gorgeous bomber is from SHEIN, and so is the asymmetric turtle neck jumper, which I also love. But I really wish I would have bought it in XS instead of S as I wanted it a bit tighter. It looks amazing like this as well, I really love the little cut, it's such a femine detail on such a basic item!

Modern Witch

all black April 13, 2018

I rarely feel the need to dress all black, but when I do, I feel like I am becoming a movie character.

I know, I know...black is timeless, chic, mysterious and cool. But it's not my cup of tea. When I got this dress from Metisu, I felt challenged to style it up my way. Although a brand new dress, it has a vintage vibe, so I decided to mix it with true vintage pieces, such as this oversized leather jacket which I bought last summer from a second-hand shop back home in Cluj, Transylvania, a military beret. I also added Western-inspired masculine shoes (H&M), and my beautiful velvet bag with mermaid clasp. I just couldn't go all black, I felt like dieing inside. Oops.

I love the overall result, and in case you're wondering why do I look so pale...oh well, I have no makeup on but the eyeliner. When I saw myself in the mirror I said I would definitely wear this outfit for a funeral. Jokes aside, it's a sophisticated feminine look, which even though it's not 100% my style, I still love and would wear whenever the perfect opportunity will arise. What are your thoughts on this look?

I would love to read your comments below.

Love,

Carla

It's All in the Details

all black September 29, 2017

When I think about StyleWe, I think about quality. The kind of clothes you want to wear now, tomorrow and forever. There are endless choices, but in my latest shopping session I went for black. It was time for a change after all the pink. You know, black is just sophisticated and timeless. Perfect for any occasion, loved by everyone. You simply can't go wrong. But by choosing cool pieces, you certainly won't go unnoticed. And that's what I was aiming for.

The short, oversized dress with a vintage vibe in its print - feminine, yet super comfortable and extremely versatile. I chose to wear with my latest obsession - this horse riding inspired hat from Monki, a gorgeous vintage bag in patent leather I bought back in Cluj and glitter boots. But that's not all!

I went for an asymmetric top in black (they have it in red too), with a perfect construction - I love the bare shoulders but the comfort and stability the double strap gives you. Feminine and sensual but also able to move around freely without having to worry about your top coming off the shoulders, haha. Autumn/Winter is all about hats for me, so I styled this awesome top with a vintage high-waisted denim skirt and a military beret. Love those berets!

Windy Weekend

all black May 06, 2017

Ok, so probably the summer is not as close as I kept hoping - London continues to disappoint me with its cold, windy and rainy weather...it's like it never stops. The past years it's been warmer, sunnier, a bit nicer. It just feels like there's a continuous fall, since last September it's the same weather - with few exceptions, meaning 3-5 sunny days.

I'm pissed because all my colourful summer clothes and all my precious mules are locked in my wardrobe and it looks like the only time when I'll get to wear them properly will probably be on my holiday back in Romania, where I hope for at least 40°C.

Anyway it's been a busy week - on the 4th of May I've been attending the Boohoo AW17 Press Day, which was super-fun! I found some ah-maaaazing pieces in their new collection and I just can't wait to wear them. They will be out in September - with this weather, I wish they were out now - but stay tuned, I'm preparing a blog post for you with lots of photos from the event. Till then, enjoy your weekend!
