Some people can truly be an inspiration, the kind of inspiration that makes you want to take a bite and chew slowly, so you can enjoy its sweet taste. Gucci's Alessandro Michele is one of those people for me. One of those people who takes inspiration from the past in order to create the future. Since his arrival at Gucci, I started becoming obsessed with it: putting money aside so I could buy some of his masterpieces, or simply searching for pieces that would have the same feel - I haven't won the lottery yet, alright?
The clash between old and new works in perfect harmony: psychedelic prints inspired by the Renaissance, Baroque at its best, retro futurism, lots of glam, fun, more fun, aliens and bold colours. The stuff the dreams are made of, everything I love and adore. Yes, I do love the Old Masters and what Michele brought to the fashion world - oh well, I might just call him of the New Masters.
For today's outfit, I went for pink (just one more time) - a pastel pink shirt with a psychedelic flora and fauna print, a scalloped A-line skirt, an oversized vintage Levi's jacket - it just feels awesome, a belt bag (which fits my iPhone 7 Plus perfectly but just about that), starry gilttery socks and the awesomest Gucci shoes. I really love this look, all these pastels work together smoothly, creating a diaphanous effect while making me confident and comfortable.
